Alternative Home Heating Methods |
Human beings are totally unsuited to life in the cold. We
don't grow extra body hair, we can't hibernate. And
if our body temperature drops just three and a half degrees below
normal, we begin to die. So, home
heating is in great request.
Before purchasing one of proper home
heating systems to keep our family warm, we fall to think of
a few concerns. The cost of energy keeps rising, and we tend to lower
our energy bill. Secondly, the Earth's supply of known oil is
only going to last for about another forty years. The more oil or other
fuels that are burned, the more damaged the ozone and the
Earth's environment becomes. Hence, more and more individuals
are looking for alternative home heating answers.
There are a lot of home
heating options for people and alternative home heating
methods. With systems such as solar heating, geothermal heating, and
alternative home heating stoves becoming more affordable and available,
many are turning away from fossil fuels.
Passive solar heating as a type of alternative home heating relies on
building design to collect and hold sunlight. Active solar heating
systems consist of solar collectors, heat pumps, exchangers, storage
tanks, and controls to gather, transfer, and disburse heat throughout a
home. Both alternative home heating methods use a completely renewable
source (the sun) to provide warm air and hot water to homes. No harmful
emissions are produced.
Hydronic systems as another alternative home heating solution circulate
hot water for heating. One more alternative home heating appliance is
introduced by Steam heating system which is similar to home water heating
systems, except steam is used as the heating medium instead of water.
The Geothermal residential heating systems as the alternative home
heating method is extremely quiet, safe, and very efficient, relying on
underground piping which can be installed with a fluid to absorb the
heat, pump into the home where a heat exchanger extracts the warmth,
and a fan then distributes the heat throughout the home.
There are other several types of alternative home heating methods: wood
and corn burning stoves which support local industry
and much more affordable commodity than heating oil, or even natural
gas.
